Photo Album: Reconstructing New Deck in Spring Lake, MI

The customer was in need for a solution to their problematic deck. They had a painted wood plywood deck above a finished room which was prone to leaks. They wanted a functional outdoor deck space and to prevent water damage to the room below.    To address these issues, we removed the old wood decking and re-framed the deck joists to improve its structure. We then installed a 3/4" thick osb board as the solid base. After that we covered the deck with the 60 mil rubber roof to ensure its waterproofing. Next we added new Regal railing in bronze. Finally, to protect the rubber roof, we covered it with dark outdoor grass carpeting that provides a durable and visually pleasing appearance for the homeowner.
