Photo Album: Lumber Steps and Railings in Grand Rapids, MI
A loving family had a cement walkway in front of their house with steps and wanted a brand new deck with railings in place of the old walkway.
In order to do that, we decided to replace their cement walkway with treated lumber steps and railings with 4-1/4" rise per step vs the 8-10" concrete steps and landing. This made the steps easier to navigate safely even for children to climb.
We also decided to bring up the landing height up to the bottom of the entry door, eliminating the tripping hazard that was previously 9" before.
Now the homeowners have a new deck and railings that also added value to their wonderful home.
