Roof Repair Photo Album: Front Porch Gable Shingle Repair in Grand Rapids, MI
The homeowner had his front porch gable leaking in three places due to improperly installed shingles. This also resulted the ceiling in the entryway having water damage.
In order to repair these damages, we first removed the shingles to add ice and water protection. We then reinstalled the shingles through the valley after the protection was in placed and that they were properly secured and aligned.
Next, we removed the wood ceiling in the entryway. The ceiling was replaced with wood-grained aluminum soffit panels. These panels are durable and moisture-restraint material that will not be susceptible to water damages.
The completed work will now be preventable for future water leaks from damaging the ceiling and causing further problems.
