When water leaks where you can't see

Challenge

The customer had new construction windows that were failing apart. Had poor flashing at the deck, a dryer vent and the window along with no house was not wrapped, that led to water leaks and rotting wood.

Solution

The new construction windows the customer had were falling apart, we removed them and replaced with new Vinyl Kraft Legacy Windows. There was poor flashing where the deck attaches to the home, a dryer vent and a window that was not wrapped properly and caused water leaks causing the wood to rot. We had to remove the siding and replace the OSB boards. Flashed the deck and drier vent. We reinstalled the window and flashed and sealed it properly. The customer is getting the shutters installed later.
