Add a 12x20 treated lumber deck to the backyard
A home owned by a mother and daughter had expressed the desire to expand their deck. Our project began with removing the old 12x12 deck to install a new 12x16 deck. For the framing, we treated it with lumber. The deck's surface was finished with beautiful cedar boards. We added 4x4 cedar posts and rails with black round aluminum spindles. We then moved the stairs from beside the house to the center of the deck for better access into the yard. Additionally, we changed the railing posts from 36" to 84" high and capped them. This allowed for the customers to hang lights from the taller posts to enhance the appearance of their outdoor space.
Infinity Home Improvement replaced the deck in the front and the back of the home with Garapa grey decking and White Regal railings
The customer is in Muskegon Mi. Called Infinity Home Improvement to help with the concrete entry deck that was starting to crumble. Mitch and the homeowner together decided to replace the old concrete slab entry with a treated wood entry deck. The city of Muskegon granted the permit to remove the old concrete entry deck and replace it with a treated wood entry deck and railing system. We had to demolition the concrete to replace it with treated wood.
The railing system is round aluminum spindles in between treated lumber for support.
Removed original deck, that was settling and pulling away from the house and had Improper footings, improper joist spacing, improper beams. Installed new treated deck with footings , 4x6 support posts , 16" oc joists, stairs and handrail. Deck is now safe to use.
